CARBON MANAGEMENT AND SOLAR THERMAL

Mohammad Iskandar Majid

Mr. Mohammad Iskandar Majidi is one of the well-known experts in the energy efficiency industry and involved in various carbon footprint related works for companies in Malaysia started his career in sustainability sector in 1998. He has vast experience in energy management, renewable energy and carbon management through various projects and programs at national and regional level. He has worked and collaborated with various international consulting firms working for different international donor agencies such as

Danish’s DANCED and DANIDA, UNDP and UNIDO on energy efficiency , renewable energy and carbon reduction programs and activities.

He is also an expert trainer and a regular guest speaker in energy management and carbon footprint related topics in various training programs, conferences, forums and dialogues in Malaysia. His expertise is also recognised through the appointment as the member of working groups for legal framework and standard development in Malaysia such as in one of the working groups for the drafting of Energy Efficiency and Energy Conservation Act and in the reviewing of MS1525 and MSISO50001 for Malaysia.

Mr. Mohammad Iskandar graduated in Bachelor of Engineering (Marine) from Newcastle University, UK. He is a Registered Electrical Energy Manager with Energy Commission, a certified trainer with HRDF , a UNIDO certified Energy Management System Expert, a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional by MAESCO, a UNIDO Certified Thermal and Solar Thermal expert and a Certified Energy Auditor by the Association of Energy Engineers, USA.

He is an elected committee member of the Malaysia Association of Energy Service Companies in charge of Training Portfolio. Currently he is Senior Technical Expert for UNIDO’s Thermal Energy and Solar Thermal Application Project based in SIRIM Headquarters.
